Metropolitan Gastroenterology Associates is now offering hemorrhoid banding (ligation) procedure in the comfort and convenience of  our office for qualified patients.

The new procedure is the preferred choice for removal of external hemorrhoids as no painful surgery and long recovery time is required.

If you suffer from hemorrhoids, this painless and permanent treatment is 99% effective in the removal of hemorrhoids. The procedure takes about one minute to perform with most patients being able to return to work the same day.

In the event of multiple hemorrhoids, often the largest most symptomatic is banded first and additional appointments are scheduled to treat the remaining hemorrhoids at one to two week intervals.
