Sanjeeva T. Reddy, M.D., Ph.D.

9672Dr. Sanjeeva T. Reddy was born in India and received his Ph.D. from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda, India in 1982. He also was a lecturer at Maharaja Sayajirao University from 1980 to 1982. In July 1982 he moved to the United States. Once in the United States, he worked at LSU Eye Center under Nicholas Bazan for three years prior to joining LSU Medical School in August 1985. He received his M.D. degree from LSU Medical Center in 1989. He did his residency in internal medicine at LSU Medical Center between 1989 and 1992. Later, he did his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at LSU Medical Center between 1992 and 1994. He was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1993 and board certified in Gastroenterology in 1995.
Dr. Reddy is also an active member in Orleans Parish Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, American Gastroenterology Association, and American College of Gastroenterology. Since 1994 Dr. Reddy has been with LSU Medical Center, Department of Gastroenterology as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

Dr. Reddy worked at Southern Gastroenterology Clinic from July 1994 until September 2003.

Dr. Reddy has published more than 40 research papers in both national and international journals during his Ph.D. and post doctorate work. He also presented multiple papers at national and international conferences. He is actively involved in giving community lectures on Colon Cancer Screening, Peptic ulcer disease, Gastro esophageal reflux disease, Irritable bowl syndrome, and Hepatitis throughout the State of Louisiana.

Dr. Reddy resides with his wife and two children in Chalmette.
