Telephone Calls
A physician is always available. For non-emergencies, call during office hours so your physician may refer to your medical chart.
If you need medical care when our office is closed, simply call the office where you are seen. Our answering service will record your information and immediately contact the doctor on call. If you are a member of a managed care insurance plan, remember to contact your primary care physician before going to the emergency room unless it is truly a life threatening emergency.
For routine/non-urgent questions, please call our office during normal business hours.
Prescription Renewals
When possible we ask that you request prescription renewals during an appointment. When you call for a prescription renewal, please do so at least 3 days in advance so that you do not run out of medication while your request is being processed.
Be prepared with the name of the prescribing doctor, the patient’s name and date of birth, the medication name and dosage, and the name and location and telephone number of the pharmacy of your choice.
Test Results
When you have laboratory studies, x-rays, or other diagnostic testing performed, we may call you with the results or you may be asked to call our office to obtain your results. It is important that you obtain and understand results of any tests performed. If you have not received results you should call our office.
In most cases, laboratory results will be given only to the patient.
